초록/해제
요약This study applied Schein's assessment of organizational culture in conjunction with Lewin's three-step change model to determine the impact of COVID-19 on the career-making decisions of Christian, cross-cultural workers. The purpose of the study was to use a combination of Lewin and Schein to glean from participants the changes needed at their organizations for retention. Using the qualitative research method, 15 cross-cultural workers who lived and worked in China pre-COVID-19 were interviewed, and then an analysis of their perspectives of COVID-19's impact on their personal lives, their organization, and their country of service was completed. This study's findings indicate COVID-19 had a significant impact on their organization, and while the organization continues to move forward, they have been unseen, unheard, and forgotten. The study begins to build a bridge connecting the needs of Christian, cross-cultural workers and their organizational leadership by giving recommendations for organizational change that will fulfill the vision and retain the workers.
