- 요약The main purpose of this treatise is to draw attention to Andras Hamary's piano music. This is done through careful analysis of his two major piano works containing extra-musical inspirations, Jelek and Der Kleine Prinz. Formal, harmonic, motivic, and gestural analyses are employed as they relate to the narrative in the music. The extra-musical inspirations and references are also examined in terms of how much they drive the music's texture and form. Lastly, the pedagogical merits of the works and their significance in the canon of piano literature are discussed. An in-depth look at both works' technical and musical challenges are addressed with some recommended approaches and solutions that aim to help pianists who would like to tackle Hamary's music. Looking into both works not only reveals the creativity in Hamary's compositional language but also sheds new light on possible perceptions of different structures and narrative that exist in music. This treatise paves the way for future performers and researchers to know and to understand Hamary's dynamic compositions. I genuinely hope that the music of Hamary will become better known to performers, teachers, and scholars.
