요약Symmetry indicators predict the topological phases of band structures from the band representations at high symmetry momenta. In previous literature, the symmetry indicators of stable topological insulators have been studied with the theory of topological quantum chemistry for all space groups. In this thesis, we aim to extend the topological quantum chemistry to produce symmetry indicators beyond those topological phases, including for bands with higher order topology and for bands in magnetic fields. First, the theory is extended to compute the centers of the Wannier functions. The Wannier centers are then used to determine the filling anomaly, which determines the corner states of higher order topology, as well as electronic polarization, quadrupole moment and higher multipole moments. Next, they are applied to classify the Dirac semimetals with higher order Fermi arcs. Our analysis shows that all linear Dirac points have higher order Fermi arcs terminating on their projections while quadratic Dirac points do not. This new classification answers the question, when do higher order Fermi arcs exist in Dirac semimetals? Then the theory is extended to systems in commensurate magnetic fields by introducing the magnetic symmetry operators, projective representations, and the additional gauge-invariant phases in the coset-decomposition. New symmetry indicators of Chern number in magnetic fields and new topological phases that only exist in magnetic fields are found using this approach. They are illustrated in a model in which a magnetic field drives a phase transition between an obstructed atomic limit and a trivial atomic limit. In the end, we apply the symmetry indicators to predict higher order topological insulators in a family of real materials called antiperovskites.
