- 요약The overwhelming majority of violin concertos studied and performed throughout history have been composed by men. This has created an imbalance in the modern day based on gender, which can only be rectified by uncovering previously forgotten works of the genre composed by women. This study seeks to even the scales by collecting and discussing the current repertoire of violin concertos composed by women. This will include an analysis of both the concertos and the composers in order to paint a complete picture of the context in which these pieces were written. A concluding lecture recital will then feature excerpts from selected concertos drawn from the final written document.
