- 요약In this thesis we study two questions that are closely related to factorization in perturbative QCD. In the first part we discuss the celebrated Low's theorem, and we will relate the radiative amplitude for the production of a soft photon along with two hard particles, to the non-radiative amplitude for the production of two hard particles. We will extend the theorem to the region where the photon momentum is much larger than the fermion masses, in which the fermions can be treated as effectively massless. We will discuss the radiation from various components of the factorized amplitude and compare it to the naive expectation from Low's theorem. In the second half of this thesis, we will discuss infrared finiteness and Feynman integrals that are manifestly IR finite. While initial-state singularities can be dealt with using IR counterterms, final-state singularities cancel upon summing over cuts. This will be made manifest in time-ordered perturbation theory. We will show that in cancelling these final-state singularities, we are able to recast the amplitude in terms of physical cuts alone.
