요약In this thesis, we show how time-domain terahertz spectroscopy and magneto-Raman spectroscopy are used together to study quantum magnets. Experimental results and theoretical calculations are done on two materials: CoTiO3 and MnTe2. Magnetic excitations are observed and studied with linear spin wave theory. A flavor wave theory is built which can explain data from very different experiments with fewer free parameters on CoTiO3. Results from both calculations and experiments are done to enrich the possibilities of time-domain terahertz spectroscopy.
