- 요약This thesis contains three essays that study the effects of government interventions in markets in developing countries. The first essay quantifies the dynamic effects of price control regulations in the Indian cement industry and explores deregulation policies. The second essay studies the effects of large-scale agricultural interventions on farmers and consumers. The final essay examines the role of tariffs and production subsidies in protecting the manufacturing sector. The unifying theme across these essays is the use of industry-specific empirical models to understand the effects of particular policies.
