- 요약Individuals with disabilities are a population historically marginalized in reproductive spaces, despite needing the care. Previous research has highlighted the barriers and supports for individuals with disabilities in seeking reproductive care, including the significance of social support. This qualitative study contributes to this literature by examining individuals with fibromyalgia who have experienced pregnancy, gaining an understanding of key social influences. Through a reflective thematic analysis, social support was significant, no matter the source. Healthcare providers also played a significant role in the pregnancy experience in both positive and negative ways. Implications for rehabilitation counselors and healthcare personnel are reviewed, along with additional areas for research.
