- 요약Included in this dissertation are the score materials and documentation for two compositions: "a light stung the darkness I" and "a light stung the darkness II." These works form the culmination of my Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) studies at Stanford University, which focus on "Spatiality and Acoustics as Compositional Strategies." The first piece, for upright piano, thunder sheet, fishing lines, and multichannel electronics, and the second piece, for viola d'amore and multichannel electronics, exemplify my exploration of space and sound as fundamental elements of musical expression. Both compositions aim to extend and reveal the instrument's acoustic properties within a large timbral space. In essence, these compositions can be summarized as an answer to the question: What if the audience found themselves in a room where the walls are made of the strings of a piano or a viola d'amore, and the air vibrates with the resonance of these instruments?.
