초록/해제
요약This qualitative study aimed to conceptualize how Oregon Community College Career and Technical Education program administrators perceive Professional Skills attainment in their students. The overarching themes that emerged from analyzing interviews with administrators at several community colleges were administrators' belief that Professional Skills are vital to students' career success, administrators' struggle with integrating Professional Skills into the curriculum, administrators' reliance on Cooperative Work Experience to integrate Professional Skills into their programs of study, and they admit that assessment of Professional Skills rarely occurs. These findings align with the current literature on Professional Skills. In addition, these findings support further examination of integration and assessment strategies. Finally, faculty perceptions about Professional Skill attainment in students must continue to be investigated as a foundational contribution to implementing improved practices.
