요약Effective field theory is a framework that codifies our ignorance by focusing on empirically accessible scales and systematically omitting irrelevant high-energy details. In this work, we demonstrate that effective field theories constrained by on-shell principles can guide the understanding of ultraviolet (UV) behavior. Utilizing various on-shell methods, we investigate the perturbative dynamics of higher-derivative operators in gauge and gravity theories. Our findings underscore that perturbative dualities can provide stringent constraints on low-energy interactions, in some cases forcing the emergence of high-energy massive modes. In scenarios lacking all-order constraints, we show that resurgence techniques can effectively reconstruct UV spectra directly from the infrared (IR) effective theory. Our results provide new insights into the structure of quantum field theories and open avenues for further research into their UV properties.
