■520    ▼aCo-design,  as  a  collaborative  approach  to  design,  originated  from  the  participatory  design  movement  in  Northern  Europe  in  the  late  1960s  and  early  1970s.  It  emphasized  democratic  values  and  inclusive  practices  to  incorporate  stakeholder  needs.  While  traditional  participatory  design  focused  on  direct  user  involvement,  contemporary  co-design  integrates  expert  perspectives  alongside  generative  tools  to  capture  diverse  stakeholder  insights.  This  fosters  innovation  grounded  in  real-world  contexts.  Over  the  past  decade,  co-design  has  expanded  beyond  workplace  development  to  multiple  disciplines,  such  as  business,  healthcare,  and  education,  where  its  "with,  not  for"  philosophy  bridges  gaps  between  designers  and  users.  Design  facilitation  has  emerged  as  a  new  approach  to  teaching  this  tool  and  helping  people  leverage  design  thinking  to  navigate  problem  identification,  framing,  and  solving.  Compared  with  general  facilitation,  design  facilitation  focuses  on  guiding  participants  through  the  design  process  toward  specific  outcomes  and  emphasizes  collaboration  and  inclusivity  throughout  the  process.  The  role  of  the  design  facilitator  is  central  to  practice  success.  They  serve  as  guides  and  enable  participants  to  co-create  solutions  through  collaboration  and  inclusivity.  Design  facilitators  need  to  shift  from  being  mere  translators  of  user  needs  to  becoming  enablers  of  interdisciplinary  creativity.While  the  literature  on  design  facilitation  has  grown  in  recent  years,  most  studies  focus  on  academic  examples.  Relatively  little  has  focused  on  corporate  industry  practices.  Academic  insights  are  valuable,  but  they  often  fail  to  capture  the  complexities  of  facilitating  co-design  in  fast-paced  industry  environments,  where  goals,  constraints,  and  dynamics  differ  from  academia.  Therefore,  this  research  explores  how  professional  designers  facilitate  co-design  in  industry  settings,  aiming  to  bridge  this  gap  and  provide  practical  insights  into  facilitation  practices.  This  research  employs  a  multi-method  qualitative  approach,  combining  case  study  observations  of  co-design  sessions,  semi-structured  interviews  with  professional  facilitators,  and  content  analysis  of  industry  job  postings.  This  methodology  aims  to  uncover  patterns  and  practices  in  design  facilitation  across  different  industry  contexts.
