- 요약This document is divided into two main parts, each exploring different aspects of classical and contemporary piano music through the perspectives of historical context and musical composition. Part I examines Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Grand Sonata in G Major, Op. 37, within the context of 19th-century Western music and Russian folk tradition. Part II focuses on the exploration of contemporary soundscape in Ziang Han's Stretched Afar Over the Dome of Eternity II, utilizing prepared piano and extended techniques to create unconventional sounds.In Part I, the analysis of Tchaikovsky's Grand Sonata focuses on how the composer synthesized Western classical forms and Russian folk traditions. This section explores the structural, harmonic, and textural aspects of the work, emphasizing its orchestral qualities, the use of folk-inspired melodies, and the incorporation of Russian harmonic idioms such as the Russian sixth. Additionally, it considers the historical and cultural context in which Tchaikovsky composed the Sonata, situating it within broader discussions of 19th-century Russian nationalism and its relationship to European art music.Part II shifts to the 21st century, examining the contemporary sound world of the prepared piano in Ziang Han's Stretched Afar Over the Dome of Eternity II. By drawing on experimental techniques pioneered by Henry Cowell, John Cage, and contemporary composers, Han reimagines the piano as a percussive and resonant instrument, expanding its timbral range through extended piano techniques and preparations.
