초록/해제
요약Postmodernist Russian composer Alfred Garrievich Schnittke not only illustrates idiomatic stylistic attributes special to his own compositional style. His larger musical genre, encompassing piano sonatas, piano concerto, and Polystylism have been studied and researched in piano literature. However, his other genre, Preludes, has received relatively little attention and warrants further study. Throughout his Five Preludes and Fugue (1953-4) and Five Aphorisms-Preludes for Piano (1990), Schnittke reflects discernible influences from preceding composers. His contributions to the development of the Prelude genre are significant, particularly evident in his early Five Preludes and Fugue, which exhibit influences from J. S. Bach, F. Chopin, F. Liszt, D. Shostakovich, A. Scriabin, and S. Rachmaninoff. Following his middle period (1968-85) characterized by Polystylism, Schnittke's unique compositional style became more pronounced in his late works such as Five Aphorisms. However, these pieces have not received sufficient scholarly study and performance recognition commensurate with their significance. To fill this gap, this document aims to advocate for Alfred Schnittke's recognition as a significant figure in piano music through his Preludes as well as his Polystylism. Additionally, it explores the difference between his early and late works, particularly with his Preludes, and advocates for a wider appreciation of his music within the music community. Through research on Schnittke's Preludes, one gains insights into his musical style and Polystylism. This will be achieved by highlighting Schnittke's influence on and contributions to contemporary piano compositions. Furthermore, this document aims to serve as a comprehensive guide for performing Schnittke's music, specifically his Five Preludes and Fugue and Five Aphorisms-Preludes for Piano.
