■520    ▼aSoutheast  Asian  Americans  experience  unique  situations  related  to  their  racial  and  ethnic  culture.  However,  little  is  known  about  how  their  experience  of  their  racial  and  ethnic  culture  impacts  their  sense  of  social  connectedness.  To  better  understand  this  relationship,  this  study  investigated  four  research  questions  about  the  situational  contexts  in  which  individuals  think  about  their  racial  or  ethnic  culture,  their  perception  of  enculturation  and  acculturation  in  everyday  situations,  and  their  daily  levels  of  social  connectedness.  A  mixed-methods,  two-week  daily  diary  study  design  was  employed.  Methods  of  analyses  consisted  of  hierarchical  linear  modeling  and  a  combination  of  fundamental  qualitative  descriptive  approach  and  inductive  content  analysis.  Qualitative  results  suggested  that  individuals  noticed  their  racial  or  ethnic  culture  across  numerous  situations.  Moreover,  individuals  had  different  perspectives  of  acculturation  and  enculturation  across  both  similar  and  different  situational  contexts.  Quantitative  results  indicated  there  was  no  strong  statistical  evidence  to  suggest  that  thinking  about  racial/ethnic  culture  daily  impacts  daily  levels  of  social  connectedness.  Overall,  the  findings  highlight  many  common  situational  contexts  and  various  subjective  experiences  among  Southeast  Asian  Americans.  Further  investigation  is  needed  to  clarify  the  link  between  cultural  identity  and  social  connectedness.  In  an  increasingly  multicultural  world,  understanding  the  relationship  between  cultural  identity  and  social  connection  can  inform  intra-  and  intercultural  relationships,  pathways  to  increase  connection,  and  promoting  well-being.  Implications  of  this  study  include  clinical,  educational,  and  community  recommendations.
