초록/해제
요약This dissertation examines the integration of traditional Japanese music into contemporary saxophone compositions, focusing on Ryota Ishikawa's Rhapsody on Japanese Folk Songs. It aims to provide a performance guide for saxophonists, blending analysis of the work's structural elements with insights from Japanese musicology and performance practice. By exploring the stylistic nuances and cultural contexts of the six folk songs featured in Ishikawa's composition-Tsugaru Jongara Bushi, Aizu Bandaisan, Shika no Tone, Takeda no Komoriuta, Kuroda Bushi, Awa Odori, and Soran Bushi-the study offers strategies for authentic interpretation. The research begins with an overview of traditional Japanese music, highlighting its scales, rhythmic patterns, and melodic motifs. A detailed analysis of Ishikawa's compositional techniques follows, emphasizing thematic elements and performance considerations. Practical guidance is provided for saxophonists, addressing technical and expressive challenges. This study bridges traditional and contemporary idioms, fostering deeper understanding and cultural sensitivity in saxophone performance.
