■520    ▼aThis  dissertation  consisted  of  three  recitals  and  a  document.  The  first  recital  was  a  solo  recital,  given  on  October  5th,  2024  in  Hill  Auditorium  in  Ann  Arbor,  Michigan.  The  second  recital  was  a  collaborative  recital  taking  the  form  of  two  liturgical  services:  All  Saints  Day  (Observed),  and  the  Commemoration  of  All  Faithful  Departed  (Observed).  Both  services  were  held  on  November  3rd,  2024  at  Christ  Church  Cathedral  in  Cincinnati,  Ohio.  The  final  recital  was  a  lecture  exploring  the  pedagogical  practices  of  eighteenth-century  Europe,  with  particular  emphasis  placed  on  the  pedagogical  tools  used  at  the  Neapolitan  Conservatories.  It  was  given  in  Blanche  Anderson  Moore  Hall  at  the  University  of  Michigan  on  March  31st,  2025.  The  document  builds  on  the  lecture,  exploring  how  musicians  can  adapt  the  pedagogical  tools  used  at  the  Neapolitan  Conservatories  to  improvise  at  the  keyboard  the  'Galant'  style,  a  practice  that  remained  popular  throughout  the  eighteenth  century.First  Dissertation  Recital:  Saturday,  October  5th,  2024.  Frieze  Memorial  Organ,  AEolian-Skinner  Organ  Company,  op.  664-A,  120  ranks,  Hill  Auditorium,  The  University  of  Michigan.  Julius  Reubke,  Sonata  on  the  94th  Psalm;  William  Grant  Still,  Elegy;  George  Walker,  Chorale  Prelude:  Jesu  wir  sind  hier;  Marcel  Dupre,  Cortege  et  Litanie,  op.  19,  no.  2.Second  Dissertation  Recital:  Sunday,  November  3rd,  2024.  Richards,  Fowkes  and  Company,  op.  24,  73  ranks,  Christ  Church  Cathedral,  Cincinnati.  Edgar  Bainton,  And  I  Saw  a  New  Heaven;  Geraint  Lewis,  The  Souls  of  the  Righteous;  selections  from  Maurice  Durufle,  Requiem,  op.  9  (Introit  &  Kyrie,  Libera  Me,  Pie  Jesu,  Domine  Jesu  Christe,  Sanctus,  Agnus  Dei,  In  Paradisum).  The  Cathedral  Choir  of  Christ  Church  Cincinnati  sang  for  all  pieces  on  this  program.Third  Dissertation  Recital:  Monday,  March  31st,  2025.  Marilyn  Mason  Organ,  C.B.  Fisk,  op.  87,  27  stops,  Blanche  Anderson  Moore  Hall,  The  University  of  Michigan.  Giacomo  Insanguine,  Partimento  no.  1  (Easier  Set),  Partimento  no.  11  (Harder  Set),  Partimento  no.  13  (Harder  Set);  Fedele  Fenaroli,  Partimento  Fugue  no.  7;  selections  from  Giovanni  Battista  Martini,  Missa  Solemnis  (Offertorio,  Elevazione,  Post  Communio).
