- 요약Three percussion recitals were given in lieu of a written dissertation. The work below represents the programing and research from the dissertation recitals.The first recital, Without Tape: Music for Live Electronics, was presented in Hankinson Rehearsal Hall on November 25, 2024. The program utilized a variety of live electronic processes to augment percussion instruments. Each piece in the program featuring a different technological medium, including live processing, use of triggered samples, live score manipulation, and multi-channel spatialization. The recital was comprised of works by Nathan Davis, Christopher Butler, Gavin Ryan, and Roger Reynolds.The second recital, Contours and Melodies, was presented in McIntosh Theatre on March 23, 2025. The program featured a variety of melodic percussion-predominately using the standard keyboard instruments, but including drums and custom-made flutes played melodically. The recital was comprised of works by Francois-Bernard Mache, Eckhard Kopetzki, Juri Seo, Chistopher Theofanidis, Philippe Manoury, and Theo Merigeau.The third recital, Kebyar Tunggal, was presented in the Cady Room on April 5, 2025. The program featured percussion works written by Balinese composers, including four newly commissioned premieres for solo percussion, and one duet for percussion and electronics. The recital was comprised of works by I Putu Tangkas Adi Hiranmayena, Ni Nyoman Srayamurtikanti, I Wayan Pande Widiana, I Nyoman Windha, and I Putu Arya Deva Suryanegara.
