요약The strategic diffusion of innovations that improve health and safety is essential to addressing public health challenges, yet understanding how adopters evaluate benefits, particularly when comparing physical tools with digital platforms, remains complex. This study examined how factors such as participant engagement, live demonstrations, and observable outcomes influence decisions to adopt impaired-driving awareness and prevention tools. Through a mixed methods approach combining stakeholder interviews, thematic analysis of customer blog posts, and structured online surveys, this study compared adoption patterns between physical demonstration tools and digital e-learning platforms in traffic safety education. In the context of Fatal Vision® Goggles, participant engagement and live demonstrations enhanced the observability of outcomes, making benefits visible to potential adopters. In contrast, digital platforms faced greater challenges in making their benefits immediately observable to decision-makers who influence adoption. This study integrated established theoretical frameworks from diffusion of innovations, community engagement, and market research to inform mass communication strategies for facilitating innovation adoption. This integration is referred to as the Adoption Drivers of Outreach and Prevention Tools (ADOPT) framework.
