- 요약One of the first significant technical obstacles for beginning clarinetists is the transition between the lower chalumeau register and the upper clarion register, a process known as "crossing the break." Although many method books briefly introduce this technique, they frequently lack a dedicated, methodical approach to mastering it. To address pedagogical gap, this dissertation presents a supplemental resource designed for use by band directors and clarinet educators. The curriculum features a progressive set of practice strategies and six original etudes focused on register transition fundamentals. Growing in technical skills such as breath support, embouchure consistency, and finger coordination, the curriculum aims to build a technical foundation that supports expressive playing.
