■520    ▼a"Scope  and  method  of  study.  The  purpose  of  this  study  is  to  overcome  the  problem  of  the  church  by  research  on  the  change  of  believers  through  the  training  on  evangelism.  The  participants  in  this  research  are  limited  to  the  members  of  Yedam  Methodist  Church.  The  length  of  the  participants'  Christian  life  ranges  from  2  years  to  10  years.  This  researcher  has  examined  some  trainers  for  evangelism  presented  in  the  Bible  and  some  cases  in  history.  The  researcher  has  also  established  theoretical  system  by  examination  of  related  theories  and  dissertations.  This  researcher  composed  training  materials  for  the  training  for  10  weeks  and  applied  it  to  the  education  on  evangelism  and  examined  the  result.  First,  this  researcher  chose  15  persons  for  Treatment  Group  and  15  persons  for  Control  Group.  Pretest  was  offered  for  them  before  the  training  on  evangelism.  Training  on  evangelism  was  offered  for  Treatment  Group  for  10  weeks.  Control  Group  did  not  receive  other  education  than  Sunday  service,  Wednesday  service,  and  cell  group  services.  Posttest  was  held  for  Treatment  Group  and  Control  Group  after  10  weeks  of  training  was  offered.  The  difference  between  the  two  groups  was  examined.  Findings  and  conclusions.  The  church  must  proclaim  the  gospel  and  she  grows  through  evangelism.  However,  the  church  that  must  grow  faces  a  problem  of  stagnation  instead.  The  cause  was  revealed  in  that  the  members  of  the  church  had  lack  of  understanding  of  evangelism  and  was  not  systematic  and  illogical.  They  also  did  not  understand  properly  the  biblical  concept  of  evangelism  to  save  souls.  They  did  not  establish  their  identity  as  Christians  and  could  not  diffuse  the  power  of  evangelism.  Such  reasons  lead  to  the  necessity  of  the  training  on  evangelism.  If  the  believer  is  not  confident  in  the  gospel,  the  change  of  the  church  through  evangelism  cannot  be  expected.  Therefore,  the  training  on  evangelism  must  be  held  in  the  church.  As  the  result  of  this  research,  5  changes  occurred  in  the  life  of  the  members  of  the  church.  First,  members  who  participated  in  this  research  grew  mature  spiritually  through  theoretical  education  on  evangelism  and  practice  of  evangelism.  Second,  members  who  participated  in  this  research  came  to  realize  the  biblical  reasons  and  need  for  evangelism.  Third,  the  participants  came  to  know  the  effective  method  of  evangelism.  Fourth,  the  participants  came  to  experience  that  soul-savings  could  be  held  not  by  human  ability  but  by  the  power  of  the  Holy  Spirit.  Fifth,  the  participants  came  to  realize  that  God  continues  to  save  non-believers"
