1 INTAKE DEVICE FOR V-TYPE MULTIPLE CYLINDER INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE / HONDA MOTOR CO LTD
(PURPOSE) To make the whole of a device compact by mutually crossing distribution pipes of an intake manifold at the intermediate parts thereof, and forming a pipe length switching chamber integrally with the cross part, and while providing pipe length switching valves at a boundary part connecting the distribution pipes and the pipe length switching chamber. (CONSTITUTION) In a V-type multiple cylinder internal combustion engine, a volume enlarging part Bg of which upperstream side communicates with the atmosphere and an intake manifold Mi having distribution pipes 351 -356 , of which upperstream side is connected to the volume enlarging part Bg and the downstream side is connected to cylinder groups Cl, Cr in right and left respectively, are provided. A pipe length switching chamber Cc for communicating the intermediate parts of the each distribution pipe 351 -356 with each other through pipe length switching valves 38l, 38r is provided. In this case, the intermediate parts of the distribution pipes 351 -356 are crossed each other, and the pipe length switching chamber Cc is formed outside of the intake manifold Mi at this cross part. The pipe length switching valves 38l, 38r are located at a boundary of the distribution pipes 351 -356 and the pipe length switching chamber Cc in the intake manifold Mi.
2 DEVICE FOR CASTING CYLINDER HEAD AND METHOD FOR CASTING CYLINDER HEAD / NISSAN MOTOR
A device (1) for casting a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine (EG) having a crankshaft (CS) and a plurality of cylinders (C), each having a plurality of ports (IP, EP) for air intake and exhaust, comprising: a casting mold (30) that includes an upper die (37), a lower die (31), and left and right dies (38a, 38b) that approach and move away from each other in a relative manner so as to define therein cavities (S) that correspond to the outer shape of a cylinder head (CH); and port cores (40, 50) that are supported inside the cavities (S) and that include a plurality of body parts (41, 44, 51, 54) having an outer shapes that respectively correspond to the plurality of ports (IP, EP), and a base part (47, 57) integrally molded with the plurality of body parts on the proximal end (43, 46, 53, 56) side of the plurality of body parts (41, 44, 51, 54), wherein the lower die (31) has air intake and exhaust hole formation surfaces (33a, 33b, 34a, 34b) that correspond to the intake and exhaust holes (EI, EO) on the combustion chamber (CC) side of the port (IP, EP), and a port core support surface (351a, 351b) that corresponds to the mounting surface to the cylinder block (CB) of the cylinder head (CH), the left and right dies (38a, 38b) have a port core pressing surface (381 a, 381 b) that faces the port core support surface (351 a, 351 b), and the port core is supported inside the cavity S by the distal end (42, 45, 52, 55) of the body parts (41, 44, 51, 54) being in contact with the air intake and exhaust hole formation surfaces (33a, 33b, 34a, 34b), the lower surface (48, 58) of the base part (47, 57) being in contact with the port core support surface (351 a, 351 b), and the upper surface (49, 59) of the base part (47, 57) being in contact with the port core pressing surface (381 a, 381 b).
3 PRODUCTION OF THERMOPLASTIC POLYESTER RESIN FOAM / SEKISUI PLASTICS CO LTD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the low temperature shock resistance of a thermoplastic polyester resin, while the characteristics of the resin is maintained as such. SOLUTION: This method for producing a thermoplastic polyester resin foam comprises adding a polycarbonate resin to a thermoplastic polyester resin having an I.V. value of 0.6-1.3 in an amount ranging from [(a)-0. 25×(the I.V. value of the thermoplastic polyester resin)]×100 wt.% [(a) is 0. 33-0. 351 to 50 wt. %, further adding a foaming agent, melt-blending the resin composition, and subsequently extruding the melted resin composition into a low temperature zone. The obtained thermoplastic polyester resin foam has a density of ≤0.7 g/cc.
4 RECEIVING CIRCUIT, RADIO CONTROLLED TIMEPIECE, AND CONTROL METHOD OF RECEIVING CIRCUIT / SEIKO EPSON CORP
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving circuit which can demodulate a received standard time and frequency signal appropriately, a radio controlled timepiece, and a control method of receiving circuit.SOLUTION: The receiving circuit comprises a receiving means 3 for receiving either one of a plurality of standard time and frequency signals and demodulating it and a control means for outputting a control signal. The receiving means 3 is provided with a signal amplification section 32 for amplifying a reception signal, a signal extraction section 33 for extracting a signal having a predetermined frequency, a rectification section 351 for rectifying the extracted signal, and a demodulation section 37 for demodulating the rectified signal. The signal extraction section 33 comprises a plurality of crystal filters XT provided in accordance with each frequency of the plurality of standard time and frequency signals, a plurality of parallel capacitances CC which are connected to the plurality of crystal filters XT in parallel and are provided in accordance with the plurality of crystal filters XT, and a filter switching section 331 and a parallel capacitance switching section 332 for switching the crystal filters XT and parallel capacitances CC in accordance with the control signal. The control means outputs a control signal providing a switching state in accordance with a standard time and frequency signal to be received.
5 SUCTION CONTROL METHOD FOR SIX-CYLINDER INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE / HONDA MOTOR CO LTD
(PURPOSE) To enhance the volume efficiency in a wide operating range of an engine by opening an closing under control an opening/closing valve, which can put a pair of resonance chambers in mutual communication, and also a pipe length changeover valve which can put the middle part of a distribution pipe in communication to a pipe length changeover chamber. (CONSTITUTION) A pair of resonance chambers Cr-l, Cr-r are installed, which can be in communication with each other though an opening/closing valve 23 and whose upstream side is leading to the atmosphere via a throttle valve 20. The middle parts of distribution pipes 351 -356 to connect the group of cylinders left and right Cl, Cr, whose suction strokes are not continued, to respective resonance chambers Cr-l, Cr-r shall be capable of being leading to a pipe length changeover chamber Cc through pipe length changeover valves 38l, 38r. The opening/ closing valve 23 and pipe length changeover valves 38l, 38r are both closed in the low speed operating range of the engine, while only the opening/closing valve 23 is opened in the middle speed operating range, and the opening/closing valve 23 and pipe length changeover valves 38l, 38r are both opened in the high speed operating range. This will constitute a resonant supercharge system in the low speed operating range and an inertia supercharge system for large and short pipe length in the middle and high speed operating ranges, so that the volume efficiency can be enhanced in a wide operating range of the engine.
